Instead of waiting in lines or feeling rushed, you can spend unhurried quality time with the huskies: take photos, pet the dogs, listen to stories from local mushers and enjoy a husky sled ride surrounded by peaceful Arctic nature, far from the noise of the city.

At Arctic Woods Huskies, the experience is about connection — not only speed or a ride. You will meet the huskies, learn how sled dogs live and train, hear stories from local mushercouple Inka and Jussi and enjoy time with the dogs in a calm Arctic environment.

Our husky experience is built around respect for the dogs. Together with our partner Arctic Woods Huskies, the activity is designed to be meaningful for guests while keeping the dogs’ wellbeing, safety and natural rhythm at the heart of the experience
Small groups are calmer for the dogs! Fewer people means less noise, less pressure and a more peaceful atmosphere for both the huskies and guests.
The huskies’ wellbeing is supported with professional veterinary care whenever health concerns arise, weekly rest days for recovery and regular visits to a professional dog massage therapist.
Beyond their work as sled dogs, the huskies enjoy an active and balanced life with sled dog races, summertime hikes and swimming and plenty of normal dog life throughout the year.
